Stop Children's Cancer

We are half-way there! We need your support!

My Father, Dr. Samuel Gross was a pioneer in the field of pediatric oncology and hematology and a founder of the division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Florida. His many contributions to the field have had an enduring impact on the lives of children and their families. In recognition of my father’s extraordinary leadership and vision, and to continue the dream my mother had started, David Gerth and I have partnered with Stop Children's Cancer to endow a lectureship in my parents’ memory and we need your support!

The goal of the “Stop Children’s Cancer Dr. Samuel and Ina Gross Memorial Lectureship” is to inspire the next generation of medical students and pediatric residents to pursue careers in pediatric hematology/oncology and to perform research that will cure more children. Thus far, this lectureship has supported four outstanding lectures by distinguished pediatric oncologists and we have raised raised $52,000 toward our $100,000 goal! We're now half-way there!

We need your support! The dollars you donate will be matched dollar for dollar by Stop Children’s Cancer, a foundation for cancer research that was co-founded by my father and by the parents of one of my father’s patients, Bonnie Freeman. I knew Bonnie before she passed away from leukemia in 1983. She was an incredibly determined and courageous young person. There are so many other children who will benefit from the lectureship, its research objectives and subsequent cancer treatment breakthroughs.
Please consider a donation in my parents’ memory to ensure that the lectureship continue for future generations.
